Welcome to the MACE Edit website!
MACE Edit is a utility intended to help iTunes U administrators design and manage their iTunes U credentials. Using MACE Edit, you can create and save credentials and edit them later. For example, you might create a set of credentials for your school's fall semester, save those credentials, and re-edit them for spring semester.
In addition, MACE Edit provides you a GUI mechanism for designing and editing iTunes U MACE URNs. Using MACE Edit, you create a set of tokens which can be inserted and rearranged in a special "token field". When you're done placing tokens the way you'd like in the token field, MACE Edit will automatically generate a properly formatted MACE URN which can be copied and pasted into iTunes. Modifying a URN is simple: just drag and drop tokens.
Finally, MACE Edit gives you a way to search through a large set of MACE URNs or find a specific credential. For example, you might want to locate every URN with the string "chemistry" in it.

Please note that MACE Edit is a Core Data application and requires a Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4 ("Tiger") or later. MACE Edit has been tested, and is known to work with, Mac OS X 10.5 ("Leopard").
MACE Edit's sister application is Woolamaloo. Woolamaloo is useful for accessing iTunes U and verifying that the set of credentials you've created using MACE Edit will work correctly.
Please visit the Woolamaloo web page for more information on Woolamaloo.
If you want to say hi, or "encourage" me to get cracking on a Windows version of the Woolamaloo, drop me a line here.
